Volunteers Needed
The off-the-field activities of these committees are vital to the success of the League. All parents are invited to join one or more committees to pitch in. (Pun intended.)

Sponsorship

Below is a list of all the standing committees established under the Old York Road Little League's Bylaws. Click on a heading to send an e-mail expressing your interest in serving on a committee.

Communications
Prepare and distribute newsletters, press releases, publicity, and maintain a web site. The corresponding secretary shall chair this committee.

Education
Plan and present clinics to enhance the skills and knowledge of players and coaches.

Fields
Coordinate volunteers and vendors to maintain and improve field surfaces, fences, and dugouts, develop and report to the Board and long-range planning committee on capital improvement needs.

Fundraising
Develop and carry out fund raising programs other than sponsorship, such as raffle, coin sales, special grants, etc.

Long Range Planning
Develop plans for capital improvements, enhance member participation, and such other goals as the Board directs.

Registration
Prepare registration forms, publicize and carry out registration program, maintain data- base for annual registration.

Rules
Draft and apply the Rules and Regulations in order to govern the basebal1 programs in a fair and consistent manner. The Commissioner shall chair this committee.

Snack stand
Manage inventory, supervise snack stand operations, and help team coaches allocate snack stand duty among the parents.

Special events
Plan and coordinate events such as opening and closing ceremonies, photo day.

Sponsorship
Solicit business sponsors for teams and field billboards.

Uniforms and equipment
Order and distribute the required baseball uniforms and equipment. This committee shall prepare a detailed proposal for Board approval before ordering uniforms each spring.

Umpires
Recruit and supervise umpires for the major and minor divisions

Tournament
Organize and coordinate tournament teams and games hosted by OYR.
